Startup incubation program started in Cumilla

A three-day startup incubation program was started in Cumilla under the Bangladesh Computer Council of the Information and Communication Technology Department under the "Establishment of Innovation and Entrepreneur Development Academy (iDEA) Project". The training will be conducted at Cumilla IT Park, Kandirpar, Cumilla till February 14 in collaboration with Startup Comilla. As a result of this incubation program, 60 young people from 39 selected startups in Comilla and its adjoining districts have got the opportunity to participate for free in collaboration with Startup Cumilla. Among them, the top startups will get the opportunity to receive a grant of Tk 10 lakh from the 'iDEA' project. The program was inaugurated by Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Md Tajul Islam at the District Shilpakala Academy in Cumilla on Saturday (February 12) in the morning. He called upon the youth to be ready for future success by utilizing the opportunities available to them. He said that if everyone wants to grow up very early, it will not be possible to learn anything easily and it will not be possible to be successful. So, he advised the youth to be patient and move forward with proper education. He said that in order to reach the top level, one must first learn, work hard and think correctly and honestly. Cumilla-6 (Sadar) Member of Parliament AKM Bahauddin Bahar, Senior Secretary of the Department of Information and Communication Technology NM Zeaul Alam, Cumilla University Vice-Chancellor Prof. A. F. M. Abdul Moin and ICT Department iDEA Project Deputy Project Director and Deputy Secretary Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman was present. Speaking on the occasion, NM Zeaul Alam, Senior Secretary, ICT Department, said that efforts are being made to extend Sheikh Russel Digital Lab to all schools in phases. Cumilla Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Mohammad Kamrul Hasan presided over the function. Welcoming remarks were made by iDEA Project Senior Consultant R. H. M. Alaol Kabir.
